I had a great weekend. I had the opportunity to meet up with some fellow bloggers. I love meeting other bloggers and this was super fun because they are Local Michigan Bloggers! Say hello to a wonderful group of ladies.
Lori from Lori out Loud In the Green Sweater
Jennifer from Wine to Weightlifting Across from Lori in the Tan Sweater
Tamara from Wild Blue Wonder In the Black Sweater
Lisa from Run Fast Mama in the Yellow T-Shirt to represent the Boston Runners
We met up at Bravo in Rochester and had lunch. Conversation flowed as we all got to know each other. It was really fun and so great to meet everyone in Real Life! It was also fun to hear about upcoming races and crossfit competitions that the ladies have coming up!
We plan on doing this again in the near future. It will be fun to plan another outing, I love getting things like this together. It sounds like were going to switch location with each meet-up. I so look forward to our next lunch date and our next adventure.
I snapped a quick picture of my HUGE Bravo Chicken Chop Salad! It was so darn good. Gorgonzola Cheese, Spiced Pecans, thin slices of Chicken, Crispy Pasta Noodles. Loved this salad, I so need to recreate this at home.
After lunch Tamara and I hit up Trader Joe’s for a quick grocery shopping trip. She had her list, I had mine. I also got to meet Tamara husband James (super nice)! I’d say it was a perfect day. I have been wanting to Meet Tamara or (T) as I like to call her for well over a year now. We found each other though a mutual blog we both love and started talking via blog comments and emails. Now I can say that she is a Friend In Real Life.
We both got one of these! Sorry had to rub it in.
I also wanted to pass on some information. In August there is going to be a 2013 Michigan Bloggers Conference called Mitten Moms in Dearborn. The 2013 Mitten Moms Conference has been schedule and tickets are on sale! This year the conference will be held at the Adoba Hotel in Dearborn, Michigan on August 9-11, 2013
I am hoping to attend this conference, but am still checking on the date to make sure I am available. One of the sponsors is Meijer. That is actually how I found out about this event. I recently reviewed Meijer New Cereal Line and started chatting with Sarah from Meijer, and she told me about this event. So glad she did because I want to spread the word to other local bloggers. I sure am hoping I can attend. Who knew there was so many bloggers in Michigan!
Here’s to New friends and fun things to come!
Check Ya Later.
That’s so much fun!
I have yet to meet my “virtual blogger friends”. Good for you guys!
It was really fun to put an actual face to the blogger!
Great meeting you! Looking forward to the next one!
Start thinking of places!!!!
Thanks so much for the shout-out! Love getting feedback from other Michigan bloggers. Hope you can make the conference this year!
Oh no problem! I’m so happy to spread the word, the conference sounds amazing
Hey – we had a local blogger meeting in a2 last week! We will have ones in future and will let y’all know.
Awesome, please do! Looks like you had a great turnout.
Hey Dena – Here’s my post with info on the meet-up group – http://foodandwinehedonist.com/2013/04/09/calling-all-local-food-and-drink-bloggers/
That must have been so much fun. You’re so lucky to have been able to meet up with those gals.
It was! Such a fun day
I love meeting people too but I am extremely shy. Need to overcome this and maybe one day I will go and meet up with local bloggers here in Malaysia.
By the way, I am a new reader of your blog! Definitely will start and read more of the older posts 😀
Hello! So nice to meet you.I love your blog, you take really good food photos. Your meals look so good. Looking forward to following you as well.
Yay! Thanks for dropping by. Really appreciate it 😀
I need to make that Nasi Lemak, it looks so good!
Yesssss, you should try the nasi lemak. It is good but in moderation. I need to etch that in my brain too. 😀
Your blog is fun! I love your food photos, too. 🙂
Thanks a lot! *blush*
Great seeing Michigan bloggers getting together. I know whenever I’m on a new blog and comment, I always wonder where the blogger’s from. Surprisingly, I encounter a few from Michigan. And since you guys are only a stone’s throw away from the border, it’s like sisters getting together for a night out!
Awesome salad, by the way!
It worked out well that we all lived within an hour of each other. That salad was amazing, I cannot stop thinking about it.
I’m so glad we finally got to meet, too, D! 😉 It was great to get to know all my lovely new friends, as well. I’ll try to think of venues for the next one!
I haven’t tried my coconut oil spray yet, have you? Can’t wait to see how it is.
I’m so excited to try the spray. I’m planning on making some pancakes and eggs this weekend.
Thanks for putting this together Dena! It was so nice to meet you and everyone in person. I can’t wait for the next one!
It was great meeting you too! So looking forward to next time.
I can’t wait, either. Such fun!
I had fun as well! 🙂 How did I miss you taking a picture?! 😉
Thank you again for organizing!
That’s funny! Our waiter snapped one for me on my camera and one on Lisa’s phone! I’m just so glad you made the long drive, next time it will be closer to you.
I was wondering how she missed that, too… but then I realized she may have meant the picture of your salad?
Oh! Your probably right Tamara…It was a great salad. I’ve been craving it Big Time
It looked amazing. I liked mine, but I’m going to try that one some time, for sure. We have a Bravo nearby.
Wow, that looks like a lot of fun. I’d love to meet my blogger friends in person. Are you going to Fitbloggin?
