So recently I bought a big Bag of Oranges. Well after eating them everyday for 7 days I still ended up having 5 oranges that I just couldn’t get to before they started to get really soft, perfect for squeezing.

So I juiced them!

It really made a lot of juice.

So I had a great idea when I started to juice it, let portion it out into snack size bags and freeze them. They will come in handy for smoothies and for cocktails.

It ended up making 4 portions and I cannot wait to follow-up with this post and let you know how I used them.

BEST BODY BOOTCAMP

Boot Camp Update, I am really getting into this, I am looking forward to what comes next, not to say that when I’m done, I’m not exhausted, starving and a bit sore, I am, but first and foremost I am doing it and having fun. I increased my hand weights this week on a few of the exercises.

Work has been crazy for me lately, I have had to work 10 plus hours extra this week alone, but I have made my workouts a priority. I tried to make a few meals in advance so that I could save time on the nights our Boot Camp took me longer to complete. Monday was a hectic day for me, I worked late, got home, I made my husband dinner, went and worked out, prepped my breakfast and lunch for the next day, then I finally sat down to eat my dinner at 7:30pm, but it was worth it. I took care of everyone including my self, and I didn’t make Any Excuses.

I had a nice glass of this Silk fruit and protein smoothie after my workout, it was just what I needed to give me a little boost. I loved the mango flavor, it was really taste.

Plank Club, I rocked a  50 second plank. That is a really good time for me, I am working on improving that time, but I am really happy starting with that as a base line, just 6 short months ago during a yoga class I could barely hole 30 seconds without violently shaking.

Dinner was one that I could put together in about 15 minutes, I love taco’s and I love shrimp, so we had Shrimp Taco’s.

Quick and easy was the theme here.

 

One of my favorite taco topping is guacamole and the little wholly guacamole packs are the best to just squeeze on. Plus they can be kept in the freezer and they thaw in minutes in a bowl of water, so I always have them on hand.

I know refried beans are not the prettiest to photograph, but I love them.

My work party is this evening. My boss likes to do the party in January after the holidays. It always seem to work better than during the busy holiday season. She always has really good drawings for prizes, and cute gift bags. One year I won an  Apple shuffle. So I am looking forward to what she has this year. Plus it’s always a really great meal.

This morning I almost made another smoothie, but changed my mind after I pulled out my frozen stash.

If I can say one bad thing about bananas its that they don’t freeze as pretty as they really are, but they sure do taste good blended.

I opted for a bowl of fresh strawberries with yogurt and granola.

Look at all that crunch, and I love the dried raspberries in it, they really have a ton of flavor, and then being mixed with Chobani pineapple yogurt, I was so glad I changed my mind. My Kroger was running a 10 for 10 on Chobani. How can you pass up a deal like that.

Now that looks refreshing.

I also drank lots and lot of this. I have been so dry this week, my skin, my throat, even my cuticle’s are dry. I know I need to get a humidifier and get it going as soon as possible. I plan on doing some research on it this week. I did do a quick search on it and found this.

Well that’s all I needed to read and I was sold, but I want to look at brands and models to see what would work best for us.
There are not many days that go by that I don’t eat something with hummus on it, I have been an official addict for many, many years.
So for a light lunch I had a hummus sprout whole wheat pita with a side of grapes and Wheat thins. I also had a piece of string cheese and another glass of lemon water.

With us having my work party tonight and the dinner being family style, I wanted to leave plenty of room for a big meal.

Projects, projects, projects. Sometimes I laugh at all the craft projects I want to do, but this one is going to be fun. I love to sew and I am making a beach sarong from some material I found on the clearance rack at a fabric store. It’s my favorite color orange and it has palm trees on it. I can’t wait to get it going. I’m using a sarong that I already have as my pattern.

I have a trip planned to go to Miami to spend sometime with my best friend. She moved to Miami 3 years ago for a work opportunity. She has an amazing live there now, she lives in a beautiful high-rise apartment, she boats, she beaches it and she now loves to fish. She really enjoys everything Miami has to offer. I visited her in 2010 and had a great time, I did not get to see her in 2011, but I made a promise that I will never let a year pass without seeing her.

Really liked the way the weeks workout made me feel, I was not too sore, except of the ab portion in the No more Trouble Zone DVD, that was killer.
