Today’s routine started different. Most days usually start with me just getting ready for work and hitting the road, but today started this way. I worked out, I rarely workout in the morning, I just prefer to do my workouts after work. I have a dentist appointment this afternoon so I did my Elliptical workout first thing rather than making an excuse after my dentist appointment not to work out. I have issues with the dentist, I had a root canal go wrong a few years ago, and an odd anxiety surfaced after that problem. So now when ever I have actual dental work done, I end up getting a tension headache and just want to lay on the couch. My dentist is aware of my anxiety and assures me it’s really common.
So I did 45 minutes on the elliptical, I have a Proform Elliptical Trainer and today I did one of the programs, it was killer, the incline and resistance really pushed my limits, but I thought it would help keep my mind off my pending dental appointment.
Here’s whats in today’s Breakfast and Lunch Bag
It’s a mixed bag, for breakfast I have Pineapple Chobani, with Kashi Berry’s Blossom Cereal, I also shake on chia seeds and shelled hemp seeds, the hemp seeds really give it a nutty flavor, I also add hemp seeds to salads. I also eat an apple every day with my breakfast I’m in love with the Fuji variety, they are so crisp, plus it’s packed with fiber.
For lunch I have a whole wheat pita pocket that I’m gonna stuff with Sabra hummus and sprouts. A cheese stick, some grapes and a side of pretzels I am gonna dip into some guacamole. Not to be left out my one a day hard-boiled egg and some lemon wedges for my water.
Fresh fruit are a must for me but I know that they are sprayed with pesticides and I don’t like that one bit, so I really wash all my fruits and vegtables before I eat them, I think that’s a given for anyone. I have been using this fruit and veggie wash and I really love it.

Tonight’s menu is Meat Tortellini with Meatless Meatballs, and a piece of garlic bread. Now garlic bread is a must have for Jeff, whenever we have a pasta dish, and who am I to disagree. We enjoyed Brussels Sprouts as our veggie. I had left over pasta sauce from Tuesdays dinner so I had to use it up. I love left overs but I don’t like them back to back , weird right. Well anyway if I have leftovers I always have a meal between them so I don’t get bored, or I use the ingredients to make a similar dish, it just has to have a day between them. So on Wednesday we had the Deconstructed Enchilada’s, I plan on making quesadilla’s on Friday with the filling from that meal. It’s a win, win really.
The tortellini are made here in Michigan, they are so good. Pierino is made in the town right next to where I grew up. I love to buy foods that are local and this is a great product.
So goodnight, I plan on catching up on some TV and keeping warm.
